Behind the Scenes with ANYLOVE



Holla ladies! Guess its not a bad idea to share some behind the scenes stories with you all. We want you to know what we're up to and of course, would be glad if you share some stories with us too!

We had a product shoot with our model, Renie recently and we were happy that it turned out well. If you have been following ANYLOVE for quite some time, you should know Renie. She was the face of Macheri Majolica x ANYLOVE OOTD Contest some time back in 2013.

Don’t be deceived by her sweet look, she can carry many other styles equally well too! Look at how well she poses, who would’ve thought that she’s a professional auditor?

Another outdoor shooting we did some time back with Wei Ling and KayKay. We spent the whole day shooting and we loved the outcome so much! It’s always harder to do an outdoor shoot, as there were too many things to be worried about – the weather, changing room, sunlight… and the list goes on. But we were willing to go through all the hassle as we wished to produce interesting visuals to you ladies!


See the plate of breakfast on the table? Our photographer left it aside for almost half an hour to shoot and to make sure all the photos captured were okay. If this is not dedication, we don't know what is.

The not-so-glam side of our models. Both of them looked like aunties with the umbrella, slippers and all the bags hahaha. Overall it was a really fun shoot with them. Walked around and posed in the middle of the road as if we own the road. Will definitely do more outdoor shoot in the future!

Summer Work-Outfit Ideas

Monday – Color Blocks
Kick start your week with a colorful day. Colors are a great way to add more life to work outfit. Don’t restrict yourself with safe colors only, go all out!! Make full use of your bag, heels and accessories too! Of course, remember to choose colors that complement each other (i.e: yellow + blue or neon pink + white), clown-looking attire is not very appropriate, right? So now, what’s Monday blues?

 




Tuesday – The Sophisticated Shorts
Shorts at work are no longer a no-no. It is always better to choose a pair of shorts with a combination of elegant and minimalistic to keep the professional look. Balance the shorter hemline with a long-sleeve blouse, or a matching blazer, and finish off with a pair of pointed-top pumps.

Wednesday – Floral Prints
What’s summer without some floral prints? Go for dresses that have a conservative cut yet still offer stylish silhouettes and trendy prints. For multi-colored dresses, team it with a belt that matches one of the colors in your dress and a pair of nude pumps. Avoid oversized or flowy dresses; you don’t wanna look like you are on a beach vacation, right?

Thursday – The Maxi
Maxis are often worn for casual and laid-back occasions. But….this does not mean that maxis are not work-appropriate! All you have to do is to choose a more refined look – with solid color or classic print, nice modest neckline and not too tight. 




Friday – Jeans Day
Here comes our favorite weekday of the week (yay!). The best thing about a casual Friday is everything seems to be more relaxed and laidback. Put on a white dress shirt with a pair of flats to enjoy a causal Friday, or enhance the feminine side of yours by adding some statement necklace and slipping into a pair of heels.

8 Must-Have Wardrobe Essentials

Some items will never go out of style and you can wear it forever (well, I’m exaggerating but that’s how long they can stay in your wardrobe). These classic items are not only worth every penny you are paying, they also help creating a whole new look with a little of mix and match.

Skinny jeans are one of the items all women can’t live without. It shocks me how the skinny jeans that I bought four or five years ago still go well with the tops that I bought this season.  Is there any reason for us not to keep a pair of skinny jean in our wardrobe?

A white dress skirt looks amazing, feels comfortable and is very useful in all sorts of occasions. For a casual look, wear it with a pair of denim shorts. When it comes to work or interviews, just put on your khaki trousers or pencil skirts and you are good to go!
